How do I write the GRE Analytical Writing (AWA) essay?

The Issue essay presents a general claim or statement and asks you to take a position on it. You argue for or against (or find a nuanced middle ground) and support your position with specific examples and reasoning. Start by clearly stating your position, develop 2 to 3 supporting examples in body paragraphs, address a counterargument, and conclude. You have 30 minutes.
