GRE FAQ › Test Day & Retakes
What if I feel like the test is going badly — should I cancel?
Almost never. In-the-moment feelings are unreliable, especially on an adaptive test, where a harder second section can actually mean you did well. You have to choose report or cancel before you see your unofficial scores, so finish the test and report. With ScoreSelect, you choose which test dates schools see, so there's very little downside to keeping a score.
