How often should I take GRE practice tests?

Plan to take a practice test every 2 to 3 weeks during active study. Never take more than one per week (it creates fatigue and burns through your limited supply of official tests) and never go longer than three weeks between tests (you lose the feedback loop). Most students end up taking somewhere between 6 and 10 practice tests during a full prep cycle.
