What is the GRE on-screen calculator? Can I use my own?

The GRE provides a basic four-function on-screen calculator during the quant sections. You cannot bring your own calculator of any kind. It handles addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and square roots. How much you should rely on it depends on your score level — see our FAQ on calculator strategy for details.
