GRE vs LSAT — should I take the GRE for law school?
The LSAT is an extremely challenging test, almost entirely focused on logic and verbal reasoning. The GRE generally involves less challenging verbal content and adds a significant quantitative component and vocabulary component.
If you're someone who would struggle to do well on a test like the LSAT, and you have reason to think the GRE might allow you to get a more competitive overall score — due to being stronger in some of the other areas the GRE tests — then it can be a good option. Some law schools now accept the GRE as an alternative, so it's worth checking whether your target schools are among them.
