Can you skip questions and go back on the GRE?

Yes. You can navigate freely within each section, skip questions, and return to them before time runs out. You can cycle through the questions or view a summary listing of all questions in the section, including indications for which ones you have marked for review. You cannot, however, go back to a previous section once you've moved on.
